About Our Vaccinations Service

Your Private Health offer a range of private vaccinations against a wide range of conditions. These include routine vaccinations against seasonal illnesses including flu and hay fever or child vaccinations against serious illnesses.

The availability of many vaccinations is restricted on the NHS, whilst finding a suitable appointment may be difficult. By booking your appointment with us you’ll benefit from a convenient service in comfortable surroundings.

Our Vaccinations

Children's Vaccinations

We can offer a wide range of routine vaccinations for children, carried out in a private medical setting. This can be great if your child has missed their routine vaccination appointment. It can also be useful if you would prefer to discuss your child’s vaccinations with a doctor before they are administered. The conditions that we can vaccinate against include: –

  • Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio
  • Meningitis Group C
  • Whooping Cough
  • MMR

Flu Vaccinations

The flu vaccination is renewed every year in order to combat new strains of the flu virus. Although it’s offered on the NHS to people who are judged as high risk, it can often be a worthwhile treatment for anyone who is susceptible to flu. By booking your appointment with Your Private Health you’ll benefit from a more convenient availability of appointments and a more comfortable clinic setting to carry out the vaccine.

Hayfever Injections

Hayfever can be a potentially debilitating allergy depending on how high the pollen count is or how severe your allergic reaction is. Symptoms can include a constant blocked nose, red and swollen eyes, sneezing and an itchy throat. It can also act as a trigger for more severe health problems such as asthma. If you’re susceptible to serious hay fever injections may be the best course of treatment and these can be offered by Your Private Health.

Shingles Vaccination

Shingles, sometimes referred to by the name Herpes Zoster, is a viral infection that causes a painful rash. It’s caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and affects people who have had chickenpox already. It’s estimated that 1 in 4 people will be affected by shingles in their life, with prevalence mainly affecting those over 50. Luckily there is a vaccine which is licensed to be offered to over 50s to help prevent the infection.

HPV Vaccination

The human papilloma virus (HPV) is a contagious family of viruses that has many forms. In women, the infection can lead to the development of abnormal cells in the cervix which can cause cervical cancer. The HPV Vaccination is currently offered as standard to girls between 12 and 13 and is given as three separate vaccinations over a three month period. Although it’s currently offered to all girls in school, it’s recommended for use between the ages of 9 – 26 and can be given to any woman as a precaution to protect against cervical cancer.
