About The Package
The Bronze Health Screen from Your Private Health allows us to gain a clear picture of your health and lifestyle so that we can monitor any changes over time. It’s a great basic screen for people who are generally healthy, but want some reassurance by talking to a doctor and testing a range of important health markers.
What Does The Bronze Screening Package Include?
What Blood Tests Are Included?
Cholesterol can cause a high risk factor when it comes to cardiovascular disease. We’ll test for total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and triglycerides. If your cholesterol is high, usually there will be no signs or symptoms and the only way it will show is through a blood test. This test will spot cholesterol warning signs and factor them in to our disease risk assessments.
This is checked to ensure that your blood glucose level is in a healthy range. It is used to diagnose and monitor diabetes.
Full Blood Count
The full blood count (FBC) is one of the most commonly used tests as it provides a range of important information about cells in the blood. This screening is for infection, anaemia and other blood diseases.
This test checks that the kidneys are working properly by measuring the levels of urea, creatinine and certain dissolved salts. It will allow us to identify certain factors relating to kidney health, hydration and lifestyle.
This test is completed to check the level of uric acid in your blood. This helps in the diagnosis of gout and other diseases.
Liver function tests are used to detect liver damage or disease. Liver function tests measure various chemicals in the blood made by the liver. An abnormal result indicates a problem with the liver, and may help to identify the cause. Further tests may then be needed.
This is a non-specific test that detects acute or chronic inflammation.
These tests include a measurement of calcium and phosphate. Alterations in levels tested for may point towards both bone and kidney disease.
Iron is a vital nutrient that can serve a wide range of purposes to our overall health and wellbeing. Iron deficiency can point to a number of serious illnesses that may require further investigation. An iron store test allows us to get an overall picture of your iron count.
